An Aspartic acid building block immobilized on Wang resins on its side chain for the synthesis of cyclic peptides on resinmodification. The 2-phenylisopropyl protecting group can be deprotected with 1% TFA in dichloromethane. PP protected amino acids are also less prone towards aspartamide formation.
