Dr. Thomas Bruckdorfer is a partner in Iris Biotech GmbH since 2002 and co-founder of Iris Biotech Laboratories GmbH. He has over 20 years of experience in international marketing, sales and distribution of fine chemicals and sophisticated chemical technologies. He holds a Ph. D. in chemistry and broadened his education by studying “Management and Distribution of Complex Technical Projects and Systems”. He serves as CSO and VP Business Development and project manager for India, China, France, Great Britain and Ireland.

Dr. Raimund MaierCOO
Background
Dr. Raimund Maier studied Biochemistry at the University of Bayreuth and obtained diploma (Dipl. Biochem.) and doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.) for research in the field of protein chemistry, protein folding and enzyme kinetics. He joined Iris Biotech as a project manager in 2012, taking care of key customers and projects in the Southern Part of Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Turkey, Cyprus, Austria and Greece. In 2017, he was granted commercial power of attorney for Iris Biotech GmbH. In 2022, he took over the position as COO.

Background
Dr. Karin Rustler studied Biochemistry at the University of Regensburg and obtained her doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat) in organic chemistry for the synthesis and characterization of photoswitchable compounds for biological applications. During her PhD, she stayed abroad at Kyoto University Japan for several months to pursue a research project funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). In 2020, she joined Iris Biotech as project manager responsible for customers and projects in the Northern Part of Germany, Japan, South Korea, Skandinavia, the Baltic States, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Taiwan, Singapore, Spain, and Portugal. Besides, she is active as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of Iris Biotech.

Werdegang
Dr. Wolfgang Schechinger has studied Chemistry at the University of Regensburg, characterized a phospholipid kinase for his PhD thesis and worked in Diabetes research. Furthermore, he has developed antibody based rapid diagnostics tests and made custom antibodies. Wolfgang has spent several years in Singapore and Taiwan. In February 2023 he startet as a Project Manager and is now active a business development assistant.

Dr. Stefan Riedl completed his studies in Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Vienna, followed by a doctorate in Biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich. He was awarded the title of Doctor (Dr. rer. nat.) for his research in the fields of Protein Chemistry, Protein Folding, and Enzyme Kinetics. Since early 2024, he has been working as a Project Manager at Iris Biotech, where he is primarily responsible for overseeing key clients and projects in Belgium, the Netherlands, USA, Canada and Luxembourg.
