In the field of amino acids, we introduced differently substituted Tryptophane, Naphthylalanine, and Indazolylalanine derivatives – either available as bundles for screening purposes or as single amino acids with or without Fmoc protection. Non-canonical amino acid derivatives represent a powerful tool to study, modify, and optimize protein-ligand or protein-protein interactions and to improve a peptide’s performance in terms of potency, specificity, and stability.

Besides, we added several Safety-Catch protected amino acids. Safety-Catch protecting groups are orthogonal protecting groups which are stable under conditions normally used during peptide synthesis, thus providing access to difficult peptide sequences. Moreover, we extended our portfolio on fatty-acid substituted amino acids as well as clickable amino acid derivatives.

Speaking of Click Chemistry, we presented the so-called CliCr® reagent, a highly reactive strained alkyne suitable for copper-free Click Chemistry showing improved solubility in aqueous conditions compared to other strained alkynes, e.g. BCN, DACN. For more details about this innovative building block, watch the recording of our workshop Innovations in Click Chemistry” or download our brochure “Click Chemistry”

Regarding the field of life sciences, we would like to highlight our new biotin derivatives. Biotinylation represents a versatile tool for purification, immobilization, and labeling. Biotin is a rather small molecule compared to other labels, thus minimizing its steric impact on the biotinylated carrier itself. More derivatives and details are summarized in our booklet Biotinylation Reagents and of course on our website

Regarding our Linkerology® portfolio, we expanded our selection of disulfide-based linkers and clickable linkers. As special highlight, we introduced dioxoborolane linkers, e.g. suitable for the detection of H2O2, for prodrug design, and for reversible peptide cyclization. Interested in more details about different linker technologies and their use? See our brochure Linkerology®

Last but not least, in terms of Drug Delivery, we recently added monofunctionalized dextrans to our toolbox of polymer therapeutics. Dextrans benefit of excellent solubility, biocompatibility, biodegradability, and non-immunogenicity. Besides, for LNP drug delivery, we provide plant-derived cholesterol. For other polymers, please see our brochures “Polymer Therapeutics” and “PEGylation”
