Solvents and Scavengers

Solvents and Scavengers

Within the section "solvents and scavengers" you can find solvents typically used in peptide chemistry, as well as common scavengers, acids, bases and reducing agents.

The use of scavengers allows to use reagents in excess to push reactions to completion and to easily “catch” undesired residuals or byproducts afterwards thus facilitating further purification.
