Methyltetrazine-Sulfo-NHS Ester is a water-soluble, amine-reactive reagent for 3rd generation Click Chemistry, for use in Diels-Alder Reactions with inverse electron demand (IEDDA). It enables the simple and efficient labeling of antibodies, proteins, and any other primary amine-containing macromolecules with methyltetrazine in 100% aqueous buffers. It is ideal when organic co-solvents like DMSO or DMF cannot be used. As it is impermeable to cell membranes, it may be used to label cell surface proteins.
