Peptide Nucleid Acids (PNAs)

Peptide Nucleid Acids (PNAs)

These Fmoc monomer peptide nucleic acid (PNA) building blocks serve for the preparation of PNA oligomers or the introduction of a single PNA building block. Our peptide nucleic acids act as nucleobase analogs with a (N-2-aminoethyl)glycine backbone. The benzhydryloxycarbonyl (Bhoc) group is used to protect the primary amines of the bases Adenine, Cytosine, and Guanine. For Thymine and Uracil, no further protection is required. PNAs are used for example as hybridization probes or antisense agents.
