Next to the pioneering PEGs, poly(amino acids) form arginine, glutamic acid, ornithine, and lysine are modern drug carrier systems with improved biodegradability, rendering the advantages of polymer therapeutics transferable to small drug molecules thus opening the door to new treatment approaches.
Poly(2-oxazolines) allow fine-tuning of hydrophilicity and surface activity depending on the application’s requirements. Our latest highlight are functionalized fullerenes and fullerenols.
