description
COMU is an efficient coupling reagent requiring one equivalent of base during bond formation as it liberates morpholine. Typical applications are amide bond formation, eg. in both solution and solid phase synthesis at room temperature or with conventional heating or microwave. Minimized racemization. Supposed to be non-allergenic. Couplings can be monitored visually or colourimetrically due to color change from yellow to orange; the reagent shows excellent solubility in DMF and NMP.
